Mayhem in the Bush Wedding 1

Mayhem in the Bush Wedding 2

One of my beautiful and best friends recently got married in Dargo, Victoria (also known as the High Country/the Middle of Nowhere).
The Bride and I spent the best part of the last six months designing her Customised ‘Bush Wedding’ Invitation Suite & Printables.
It was so lovely to be at the wedding and see how she and her Amazing ‘Helpers’ brought all the details together.
All guests were greeted with a ‘Survival Kit’, which included little tid-bits that we might need. At the wedding ceremony, which was held in a working Shearing Shed (which they had kindly cleaned up for us), we were given sachets of Bird Seed to throw on the Bride & Groom to congratulate them.
The Reception, held at the Dargo Hotel, had so many gorgeous little details, from the ‘Rock Wishes’ to the little Sheep & Hay stand, which later held the cake for cutting, to the Marshmallows on sticks, which was a great snack for us to toast in one of the many open fires around the room.
Not to mention the amazing ‘Grazing Table’, featuring delicious sweet and savoury ‘Bush Treats’ such as Wagon Wheels, Cow Patties, Hay Bales and Gum Nuts.
The Bride’s bouquet consisted of handmade Hessian and Fabric Roses, and vintage doilies. A Photo Booth (which was actually an old bath tub!), with a suitcase filled full of mayhem was a great ice breaker for us all, and made for some fantastic memories.
When the Bride and Groom cut the cake, they actually used a giant lumberjack saw! Until they told us they were joking, and the real cake was still waiting to be cut.
It’s safe to say, we all had a Rough and Ready Country Good Time at this wedding, singing along to the Country Music, and loving every moment!
Congrats to Sharon & Shane {Mr & Mrs White} xo Amy
